On March 17, 2017,
Dakota Pippins (Founder of Harlem Late Night
Jazz & Board of
Directors for the Jazz Foundation of America) presented Steve Abreu, (Manager of the Farafina Cafe and Lounge), with an
official proclamation from Congressman Charles Rangel. This proclamation pays tribute to Harlem Late Night Jazz(HLNJ) and its partners C. Kelly Wright, Dakota Pippins, Paul Griffin and Robin Downes. The proclamation was delivered by Chief of Staff for Congressman Rangel, Geoffrey Eaton, an avid supporter of Harlem Late Night Jazz.
The Proclamation further offers thanks to the many participating performers, venues and organizations involved in creating and sustaining the Harlem Late Night Jazz mission to keep late night jazz alive in Harlem.
Harlem Late Night Jazz ™ is proud to be the recipient of Charles Rangel's last official act and we invite you to join us in our mission... to keep the music alive.
