St Nicks Pub Dedication …In Memory and Love
Harlem Late Night Jazz is dedicating the entire month of May in memory and love for one of Harlem’s great cultural institutions….. St Nicks Pub.
Opening as the Pooseepahtuck Club in 1935, “The Pub” has been a cultural point of fusion for Jazz (America’s only original art form) for over 80 years. Musical giants such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Lena Horne, Reggie Workman…… and list goes on. Frequented my luminaries such as Adam Clayton Powell Jr., James Baldwin, and Duke Ellington.
We at Harlem Late Night Jazz vow to keep the music alive…uptown in Harlem where it belongs. We are dedicating the entire month of May in memory and love to this iconic institution and to the great musicians that have graced the stage.
We are bringing you 14 special performance across all 3 HLNJ venues. … … all by former St Nick Pub greats. Check out upcoming events HERE >>> https://business.facebook.com/HarlemLateNightJazz/events/
